Shipmates,
The following message has been received from Captain HMS Medusa and Trustee Coastal Forces Heritage Trust via S/m Alan Mirams. Despite the short notice, if any Shipmates were able to attend that would be good. They have requested Blazers etc for those that can.
The Coastal Forces Heritage Trust has arranged for an interpretation board for the WW2 Coastal forces base, HMS Attack to be placed with other boards mounted on stone adjacent to the end of the Osprey runway (by Portland Castle). The stone and interpretation board are in place and we are arranging an unveiling next Monday 30 March at 1200. The mayor of Portland will do the formal unveiling after a few words by Rear Admiral Rex Cox. There will be representatives from the Coastal Forces Heritage Trust, HMS Medusa and MGB325. If any of your members would like to attend, they are most welcome.
Regards
Alan Watson
