Ahoy Shipmates
Torbay Royal Naval Association will be holding our annual memorial service on Roundham Head, Paignton, on Sunday 26th April to remember and honour Lieutenant Commander. Arthur Leyland Harrison VC Royal Navy
Arthur Leyland Harrison was born in Torquay on 3rd February 1886. His Victoria Cross was awarded posthumously for his most conspicuous gallantry during the Zeebrugge Raid in April 1918.
The memorial service will take place on Sunday 26th April at 1030 for 1100 and will last for approximately 30 minutes.
We hope that anyone from Central Office or Area 4 who is visiting our area on that date, will be able to join us as we commemorate Lt Cdr Harrison’s service and ultimate sacrifice.
Branches of all Torbay ex-military associations, Sea and Air Cadets are invited to attend this event.
Dress code is Smart/Uniforms/Blues and Greys with Medals.
Please circulate this information within Central Office and amongst Area 4 respectively.
