Torbay Annual D-Day Embarkation Service 2026
Torquay and Brixham Branch of the Royal Naval Association have been invited to the annual Embarkation Service which takes place on 6th June 2026 at 10.30 at Beacon Quay, Torquay Harbour.
There will be a wreath laying service which is supported by local schools, cadet forces, ex-service associations and the general public.
Attendees should assemble at the South End of the Quay by 10:45 for a short march past with the Salute being taken by the Lord Lieutenant of Devon.
Originally organised by local personnel involved in the D-Day landings of 1944, the tradition has been carried on by the Torquay RBL and continues to grow in popularity year on year.
