The 2026 Area 4 Reunion was held in March at the Durrant House Hotel near Bideford.<\/span><\/p>\n

162 <\/span>members and guests attended and feedback suggests that 161 of them enjoyed it. <\/span><\/p>\n

All bills have <\/span>been paid and our accounts are in credit. The Reunion accounting year closes on 31st July and <\/span>after auditing the 2025\/26 account will be reported at the next Area Meeting in September.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Reunion Committee has approved donations from the Charity Chest 2026 to Charities <\/span>proposed by branches as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Cheques have been sent to the proposer branches for presentation to the charities. Branches <\/span>please arrange local publicity, don\u2019t forget to mention \u201cNo. 4 Area RNA\u201d and send reports and <\/span>photos to the Area PRO.<\/span><\/p>\n

The next No<\/sup> 4 Area Reunion will be held at Durrant House Hotel, Northam, Bideford on 5th, 6th, <\/span><\/strong>7th, March 2027<\/strong>.  This is planned to be with the more formal style of Gala Dinner with Guest of <\/span>Honour and Top Table on the Saturday evening, preceded by a wine reception.<\/span><\/p>\n

We would like to remind the Area that the current Reunion Chairman (Mike Lawton) and Reunion <\/span>Secretary (Fay Lawton) will be retiring from the Reunion Committee after the 2027 Reunion. Their <\/span>successors should be formally appointed by the Area Committee, we suggest at the 2027 AGM. But <\/span>it would help the transition if the identities of the incoming volunteers were known before that, so <\/span>that they could be \u2018copied in\u2019 on useful information and communications as they happen. Forward <\/span>planning and new ideas could be shared and hopefully our Bank (Lloyds) could be persuaded to <\/span>arrange a change of signatory on a specific date if they are informed in advance. So, if there is <\/span>anyone in the Area who fancies one of these rewarding, prestigious and highly unpaid positions <\/span>don\u2019t wait till the last minute, contact Mike or Fay (email addresses in the May Minutes)<\/span> as soon as you like and find out what\u2019s involved.<\/span><\/p>\n
